Review Rambo: The Video Game

Rambo: The Videogame is nostalgic and bad at the same time. The game features "headstrong" protagonist in one of the worst games of the year. Check out the full review.

Rambo: The Video Game has had a long journey to win his first adventure into the third dimension. The game's hero of the '80s, was released for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 rescues the soundtrack and many passages of this remarkable film trilogy. The game consists only of the events of the first three Rambo films. See the full review of the game:

Game parodies with movie heroes such as Rambo, Terminator and Blade

However, what seemed a nostalgic and delightful journey for fans of action films, reveals a very poor shooter "on rails". Understand, shooting games "on rails" are not bad, but Rambo: The Video Game without a doubt will be the "worst nightmare" for fans of nostalgic action movies of the 80s. Rambo: The Video Game does not deliver a quality experience, not for moviegoers, not for gamers. Literally sinning in almost all aspects, be they visual, audible and the progression of its gameplay.
headstrong Rambo

Logo in the opening seconds, Rambo: The Video Game the player collides with a terrible truth. You will have to swallow the version of John Rambo designed by Teyon the staff. Ie, a headstrong guy with strangely frail body.

The game has graphics far below the current standard . With disproportionate characters that have strange , robotic movements and the bizarre eye movements . Interestingly, the game scenarios are one of the few things that draw attention to Rambo : The Video Game . They all reproduce scenarios used in the movies . It's something very cool and nostalgic, but poorly explored by the studio that developed the game .

massante gameplay

The annoying part of playing a shooter after 2000s and lack light guns . On the PC , where the game was analyzed , it is less tolerable . Still, presents a limited number of enemies in each area , making the boring interaction. Shooting games " on rails " quality loads of enemies , requiring the player skill and quick reflexes . Rambo : The Video Game requires neither skill nor quick reflexes . It requires patience to support multiple levels with predictable action sequences .

The game begins in the events leading up to the first movie , " Rambo : Programmed to Kill " ( First Blood in original) . In this early part of the game so excited because it could focus his narrative to tell the story " untold " Rambo . But the happiness is short-lived game and continues to focus only on the scenes from the movies .

In the second act , already roaming scenarios " First Blood " , the game tries to render each scene of action with non-playable parts and parts with " Quick Time Events " or QTEs . Here is unveiled another major problem of the game : long non-interactive scripted scenes beaten . To miss any of the QTEs , Rambo dies and the player must try again from a checkpoint.

The vast majority of players who will play Rambo : The Video Game 've watched the first three at least twice. Still, the game makes sure to consume much of his " gameplay " with non- interactive scenes . After that , the game follows strolling through the universe of the films Rambo running very little of the script and not giving the player in no time , the possibility of moving the scene .

Perhaps the only thing fun gameplay Rambo : The Video Game is the power-up " Wrath Combo " . Represented by a yellow bar at the top of the screen , this ability allows the Rambo a cry of rage . Leaving the slow motion and enabling kill multiple enemies with ease .

Low quality audio

Despite the soundtrack of the film is the same and rely on some familiar voices such as Sylvester Stallone himself. Rambo: The Video Game sins in some visual effects and art direction. Very repetitive sound effects and artificial as shouts of soldiers and some dialogues.

A bizarre fact is that the game uses audio from movies to create their dialogues. There are a few new additions to dialogue as a general who will tell the story of John Rambo.
conclusion

Rambo, in theaters, was always regarded as pure and simple Hollywood action. However, the first three films has an interesting background politician who could have better exploited within the game. In a world where we have heroic wails as in Metal Gear 4: Guns of the Patriot and Hollywood action games like FarCry 3, facing a shooting game on rails repetitive and boring with a timing, is a hard task even for fans of the genre .
